Supported Study Sessions  

 Supported Study Sessions (SSS)

SSS is intended to be a structured academic setting where students in grades 7 and 8 will be provided an opportunity to complete assigned work and be supported in doing so.  SSS is not intended to be used as a disciplinary measure.

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30-5:30 PM, starting 9/20/16

Where: 8th Grade Cafeteria

Who: 7th and 8th Graders seeking assistance and/or a quiet place to study.

Expectations:

**Students must have a copy of the attached permission form turned into their homeroom teacher by the end of the day on Monday each week if they intend on taking advantage of this opportunity.

**Transportation is a parent obligation as school transportation will not be provided.

**Students not picked up in a timely fashion will not be allowed to continue further participation in the program.

**Sessions begin promptly at 3:30.

**Students are expected to come prepared with writing utensils,  paper, calculators, and anything they will need to get their work done -  trips to lockers will be prohibited. There will be two five minute bathroom breaks provided.

**Students may be released prior to 5:30 with written parental permission.  Students with permission to depart prior to 5:30 will be required to be signed out of the building by a parent/guardian.

**Students who are not able to comply with the expectations of the program will have their privilege of attendance at SSS revoked.

**Cell phone use is not permitted during the Supported Study Sessions.
